Brand Exposure Challenge
Being a guest speaker is one of the fastest ways to grow your business online. This allows you to leverage the audience of bigger brands.
Being interviewed or a guest speaker will allow you to get the attention of an already established large audience.
When the audience listens to the talk or recording, they will learn more about you, and your expertise and most likely visit your website or social media pages and begin to follow you. This is your opportunity to establish yourself as an expert and convert them to clients.

Exposure Challenge
1. Come up with 3 speaking topics related to your group coaching program theme
Ex.
Theme: The Next Level You Group Coaching Program
Topic 1: 3 Unspoken Steps to Become the Next Level You Fast
Topic 2: The False Trap that Stops People from Reaching the Next Level in Life
Topic 3: Never Ever Suffer from Your Limiting Beliefs Again
2. Create a 30-45 minute recordings for each topic.
3. Turn it into a podcast or YouTube video.
4. Post the recording on your website and any other platforms you choose.
5. Optimize all of your social media profiles to make sure that they are all consistent.
Include:
Who are you
What you do
Who you serve
Link to a freebie or your group program
6. Research and create a list of:
10 podcasts that serve your audience
10 Facebook groups that serve your audience
10 membership communities that serve your audience (this may not be as easy to find)
7. Reach out to the host of these podcasts and communities to be a guest speaker, speaking on one of your 3 topics.
(You created your own recordings so they can listen and see what you have to offer)
8. Keep researching and creating lists.
9. Challenge yourself to appear as a guest speaker in a minimum of 2 podcasts or communities a month.
How to Research
1. Pick a Niche but Relevant Shows and Communities
Leave the big, well-known shows for last because it’s hard to get on those. Instead, go for niche shows with a big audience.
2. Search
Type “podcasts about ” in Google. From there, just scroll down and look for podcasts with over 100 episodes. This may mean they have been around for a while and have a good size audience.
Type group titles in Facebook search.
Sometimes these groups are a part of a paid community and this is good. If it is apart of a paid community you may not be able to join the group. Therefore, go to the about section of the group or the members section a get the website and name of the host/owner of the group.
3. Research them in Detail
Create a spreadsheet with columns for the podcast or community name, host’s name, topics discussed, the number of subscribers (if available), website (if any), Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
4. If a podcast, listen to one or two of each podcast’s most popular episodes to get a feel of the show, understand the show, get to know the host, and see if it’s one you’d want to be on.
Doing this will help you when writing your email pitch and prepare you for the show because you will have a sense of what they are looking for.
5. Gather Potential Speaking Topics Think about:
How is your knowledge different from other experts on the same subject?
How will this benefit the audience?
Why is this topic relevant now?
What will you talk about exactly?
Then come up with a few potential topic ideas to give the host some options.
Make sure the topic title stands out.
Make sure your ideas are different from what was already talked about on the show.
5. Write a Guest Speaker Pitch. Please see the “Speaker Pitch” swipe at the end of this document.
